We will be meeting indoors in the APR in two separate services, one at 8:30 a.m. and one at 10:00 a.m.. Although we all would like to be together in one service, we are following the Illinois Department of Public Health’s guidance that meetings be no more than 25% capacity up to 100 people. Like this past Sunday, we will mark squares in which family units can sit. We are also asking you to bring your own chair again so that chairs do not have to be cleaned in between services.
To ensure that each service has roughly the same number of attendees, we are assigning the church family to attend a particular service as follows…
8:30 a.m. Service: Families whose youngest child is high school age or above and older singles
10:00 a.m. Service: Families with children under high school age and younger singles
Those attending the 8:30 service, please park in the East parking lot
Those attending the 10:00 service, please park in the West parking lot
For the sake of looking out for the most vulnerable in our church family, we are asking people to wear a face mask/covering when entering the church and when leaving the church. Masks can be removed (if desired) when seated in the APR.
Also in keeping with both the CDC’s and IDPH’s recommendations, we will not have congregational singing in the month of June. The most recent information being shared by health experts is that singing increases the likelihood of COVID-19 transmission from exhaled droplets. While we understand that any such transmission is unlikely in our context, we are acting out of the abundance of caution, again for the sake of the most vulnerable in our church family. As we did last Sunday, we will provide special music at each service.
There again will be a box available in which offerings can be placed.
Our Daily Bread will be available near the offerings box.
There will be no nursery or children’s church provided. However, in planning the 10:00 service, we are mindful of the fact your children will be with you through the entire service.
